Associates

In addition to our main co-operative group of artists, we also exhibit the work of some associate members. These are crafts-people and artists that produce a large range of beautiful items including sculpture, ceramics, and jewellery.

Cornish born on the North Coast of Cornwall, surrounded by our beautiful countryside, who wouldn’t be inspired by the sea, rugged coastline, moorlands & nature's rich colours.

The work produced at Lizard Art is a combination of stoneware clays, wheel thrown & hand-built forms with surface decoration of lava & standard glazes, allowing her to convey & share the narrative, textures and tactility of sand, cliffs & sea.

Jane Chetwynd
Mixed Media and Textile artist.
https://www.instagram.com/janechetwynd

Janes work explores colour and texture in a variety of media. Her current work is primarily textiles that embrace ideas around memory, travel, sentiment and ancestry. Jane is interested in the rituals of life, traces of before, patina and tokens of existence. Her work is rich in texture and layered with slow thoughtful gestures of stitch and fabric manipulation. The inclusion of old materials embraces a will to preserve both memory and the planet. Imagery and ideas are found in her immediate surroundings, on travels and in museums.

Jane worked for many years in education and now runs workshops that explore drawing, stitch and creativity.
