Painting has always been important to me, and now that I am retired, I devote more time to it.
I get my inspiration from the West Country countryside. I particularly love the coast, and what could be more spectacular than the northern edge of Exmoor, or more beautiful than the rugged cliffs of the Lizard. Whenever I can and in most weathers, I like to sketch and paint outdoors. Most of my work now consists of finished pochade paintings and studio work based on my sketches and photographs.
