In the Spring of 2023 we held a Retrospective Exhibition of a dear friend and member of Lizard Art who recently passed away, Janet Judge. Janet had been painting professionally for over 30 years and exhibited widely throughout the country. She had been a member of Lizard Art for over a decade including Chairperson. She was a supportive mentor and valued comrade and companion within the group, who will be greatly missed. Janet frequently walked on the coast path around the Lizard Peninsula which was a huge inspiration for her work. In her work she loved the play of colours against each other using the pure colours of watercolour. Janet’s vibrant work will be available for purchase in the main exhibitions of 2023, consisting of original paintings, prints and cards.
